AT&T Company Information.....AT&T Wireless Services, Inc., formerly part of AT&T Corp., was a wireless carrier in the United States. On October 26 2004, AT&T Wireless Services completed a merger with Cingular Wireless to become the largest wireless carrier in the United States. In the agreement, only the Cingular brand name would remain. On 11/16/04, AT&T Wireless retail stores were rebranded under the Cingular name. Late 2005, SBC acquired the original AT&T, and renamed it "The New AT&T". Cingular then became owned by "The New AT&T" in 12/06 as a result of "The New AT&Ts" acquisition of BellSouth. The thought that AT&T's name would again be used to market cellular services was being realized, Cingular was then renamed AT&T Mobility in first quarter 2007..
